Great Mail

Hello friends! I received some wonderful goodies in the mail this week.

First, I won a giveaway on Cameo's blog. I won this lovely bracelet made of good luck beads, Chinese coins, wood beads, and Czech glass beads. Isn't it cool? I don't often wear bracelets but I will be wearing this. One could always use a little extra luck.

Then this beautiful angel arrived along with some fabric from Norma. She was my partner in an exchange on the Fabric In Altered Art board and has kept in touch with me via email. She had
some beautiful fabric that needed a home and she thought of me. (She is such a sweetie!) In the package with the fabric was Sophie the Spring Angel. Norma does beautiful Art Dolls and other things. Stop by her blog and have a look at her lovely creations. Thanks again Norma for making my day!

I have been spending a lot of time putting in my little garden which means I haven't had much time for stitching. I hope this little garden will produce some delicious tomatoes, cukes, squash, and peppers for me. So far I have a tiny little Banana Pepper. I am not fond of Banana Peppers but DH is, so I planted one plant for him.

I stumbled across this sampler today and am sitting on the fence as to whether or not I want to stitch it. It is such a huge project and so far I have only completed small things. I really enjoyed the Blackbird Designs sampler I stitched and
think I might want to stitch a larger sampler...but...is this the
right one? It sure would be fun to stich along with everyone else. Hmmm, will have to think on this for a few days.

I still haven't been to the store to get the floss I need to finish Bushel and a Peck so I am stitching on the Witch's boots. They are coming along nicely and I just have to smile when I see those twirly toes!

Have a great rest of the week everyone!

Pretty bracelet and your garden is looking great. 4th year in a row I wanted to plant a veggie garden and 4th year in a row, I've ran out of time to do it. Oh well. There's always next year!

Unreal--that SAL is SO huge! And, I am so slow--I saw someone finish a LHN design in one day, and I spend at least a week working diligently!

Ah, sigh, how can I stitch faster?!

Can you really do such a giant thing? (In less than 10 years!? The internet is full of amazing, ambitious stitchers!) It is beautiful, though, so I know why you are "called".

It's so hard to find time for stitching this time of year with all of the outdoor stuff to do, isn't it Myra? Glad to see your garden is in! Ours is too and it seems to be thriving with all the cool, rainy weather PA has been having... Hope you find some more time for stitching this month :)

Myra,

Little Sophie the Spring Angel looks really nice in the garden.
So happy you like her. Thanks for the write-up.
Congratulations on winning that neat bracelet. :)
