Time Flies!

Wow! I can't believe it has been over a week since I posted here. Time just flies when you have a million things going on. Between work, and getting tax stuff together, whew!
I did manage to stitch the March portion of the Oak Haven Designs SAL. This is one of my favorites. I love St. Patrick's Day and I just love this design. I used metallic gold DMC for the gold nuggets in the pot and I think the shamrock on her dress is so sweet!
I added the second picture just because I wanted you to see how easy it is to take a picture at my house. (NOT!) I have all sorts of "help" during my photo shoots as you can see. LOL
Okay, off now to work on the FAFSA with my boys so they can go to college next year. Have a great week everyone!

It's almost magic

<<< How this...

<<< ...Becomes this. A Biscornu!

Since the item we are exchanging next on the Tiny Treasures Exchange blog is a biscornu, I thought I best make a practice one first. This is my first biscornu and it won't be my last. It was fun making this little thing and the way the two squares became this 8 sided cushion was well....almost like magic!

Australia Fires

I am sending kind thoughts and powerful prayers out for my friends in Australia who are affected by these devastating fires. Also praying for the strength of the firefighters that they may get these under control soon.

Still Stitching

Here is another little piece I finished to display this month. It is part of the SAL at Oak Haven Designs. I used a 28 count linen and DMC varigated thread. The hearts on the frame are sequins which were glued on another $1.00 frame from Wal-Mart. :o)

I also managed to stitch the little reindeer below for my Seasonal Ornament SAL this month. This is a free design from Daffycat stiched on 14 ct blue marbled aida with DMC threads. I used red beads and a little jingle bell for his collar.

I started stitching on the March portion of the OHD SAL yesterday.
It is a design with St. Patrick's Day in mind and I love me some St. Patrick's Day stitching.

We had a beautiful weekend here, temps in the 60's and sunshine. I didn't get to enjoy much of the outdoors but it was nice to leave the doors and windows open for some fresh air. I hope it is a little warmer in your neck of the woods too!

Another One for February

I just had to finish up another little thing to add to my February decorations for Valentine's Day. This one is another free chart from Just Nan but I can't remember for the life of me where I found it. I changed nearly all the colors to make it "fit" the Valentine's Day theme. It is finished as the top of a round chipboard box I found at Hobby Lobby.

The gold beads and trim really give it that "regal" touch doncha think? :o)

We had another dusting of snow here overnight. Not enough to keep me from going to work but work was really slow today because of the snow. Go figure.

Love is in the air...

finished as a pinkeep
This reminds me of grade/middle school when we would write our initials + our current boyfriends initials all over everything!
