Do you clip?

Coupons, that is. I do. It seems the price of groceries just keeps climbing. I love to cook (and eat), and I have a young son at home so the grocery bill is a large part of my monthly budget. I was becoming frustrated with sorting through my coupons which were kept in an paper envelope in the depths of my purse. So....I went searching on the web for a pattern for a coupon organizer. This is what I made today.
Cute, isn't it? :o) You can find the pattern at http://ahappylittlefamily.blogspot.com/. The hardest part about making this was printing and cutting the tabbed dividers.

This is what I made earlier this week with some of my coupon savings. :o) Have a great week everyone!

Love the organizer - with three young boys I can relate to the grocery dilemma! I'd love to convince the neighbors that a cow and some free range chickens are a good thing!

YUMMY!!

Wow!

I always try to do the coupon thing, but I'm either not interested in them, or they expire. Recently, I got a coupon for splenda (one of the ones that prints out at the register). It was for 1.50, and I DO use that, so I kept it on top of my microwave with the idea of using it. Well, the day came, I picked it up and read it over just prior to departing for the store: It had expired the day before!!

I threw up my hands--nothing else to do!

I do have a coupon question for you: Do you coupons get you to try new products, or do you only clip the ones for products and brands you usually buy?

P.S. I made a layered Banana Pudding this week, too! Though mine was only vanilla pudding...and I don't have a nice glass dish so it was in an opaque metal bowl, lol! Poor Pudding...it's only claim to fame was the cream I whipped for it with a touch of Rum! (A step up from the cool-wip days of my youth! lol!)

It's a very cute organiser - we don't seem to have the same sort of coupon promotions over here, there's a lot of "BOGOFs" (Buy One, Get One Free) type of promotions in-store though, and they need less mental effort :o)

Your trifle looks yummy!

What a great organizer, Myra! I used to be a huge couponer--still use them, but not as much now that the boys are gone. I still absolutely refuse to buy cereal without a coupon, though!!

Yummy looking trifle--I'll bet it was consumed in record time!

Cute organizer Myra!! I almost never use coupons but then I don't buy magazines or the newspaper so that I could even find them. Good thing they put coupon dispensers by the products around here :0)

Urgh you just made my mouth water with that yummy looking dessert!

Coupons aren't a big thing here in Canada the way they are in the US they are few and far between.

But I like my beat up, ratty paper envelope that holds my coupons! No. I really don't and now I want to make one of these!
