Framed!

Here is my little sewing sampler framed and hanging on the wall in my sewing room. I painted the frame black and after mounting the sampler decided it need a little sumthin', sumthin'. I added the black dotted ribbon around the edges for the finishing touch. I really like how this looks and will have to file the ribbon matting idea away to use again in the future.
Check out these visitors to our yard yesterday. (Much prettier than the bug doncha think?) You can just see the momma's rear as she was going into the blackberry thicket with her little fawn following close behind. This picture was taken through our window. You should be able to click on it to see it a little larger. We are always just fascinated with the wildlife that strolls through our yard. We are only 2 - 3 minutes from the center of our little town!

Great idea to use the polka-dot ribbon to "mat" your little sewing room piece, Myra!! I may have to borrow that idea some time :)

Don't you love seeing the deer pass through (except when they munch on your plantings!)... We have a mama and baby, too, but I haven't been able to snap a picture of them yet...

Oh Myra! another tempting finish for me, now I shall be fruit AND ribbon hunting! Well done you, your finish is lovely.
What I'd give to have deer passing through my garden rather than the very greedy fox we have at the moment - great pic!

Your finish is fantastic and I love the ribbon idea! Especially how its just that little bit darker in the corners where two pieces intersect!

I hope the deer didn't stop and munch on your garden as they passed through :0)

I just the way you finished this off Myra! That ribbon really added to it.

We get deer through our yard quite a bit. I think they come through for a snack of my flowers.

The ribbon does it! Looks great, Myra. We have a bunch of wildlife here. We have 3 turkey hens and their new chicks living in our woods. They are so cute!

Nice handwork!

Don't you just love it when deer visit? We have some who visit us quite often and we are also in town.

Take care!

Hugs, Karen

Very clever using that ribbon. I might steal that idea. :)

I always love seeing the deer, even if they do damage to all the shrubs! When I lived in NJ they roams all over the neighborhood ~ loved it!
