December Finish

"December Monthly Sampler"
Little House Needleworks
32 ct Silkweaver Enchantment/CC Floss

I put the last stitches in this one the last night of November and framed it today.  I decided to change this one up a bit and used a piece of the fabric I won in the generous giveaway from Jennifer.  The blue mottled fabric really makes this look like a snowy scene, doesn't it?  You might notice I "left a light on" in one of my lower windows.  I just didn't like the thought of ALL the windows being dark and you just have to have a light on to welcome all your visitors, right?   I still have to finish the January sampler as I didn't start this series until  February.  I am happy that I was able to stick with it throughout the year and now I have a seasonal piece to display every month.

I have been itching to start "Hare's Christmas" that  Mary sent to me and am hoping to be able to finish it before Christmas actually arrives.  I think I will do just that after I have some soup - I have developed a scratchy throat and a bit of a fever today.  :o(  I sure hope I'm not getting the bug that is making it's way through our office.

Isn't this bulldog ornament the cutest?!  It is one of my most favorite store bought Christmas ornaments.  :o)

I love how your December turned out. The fabric really sets off the scene.

Congrats on your finish!

Where ever did you get that Bulldog? My FIL would love it! He owns a bulldog and he is a Georgia alum to boot!

Oh no, I hope you haven't gotten sick! It seems as everyone I've met lately is sick =[

I have so enjoyed watching your Monthly stitches appear. Congratulations on December!

I really like how you "left the light" on in the lower window, Myra. I can just picture a family sitting in there and reading or playing a game together on a cold winter night (like we're having up here-brrrr!). It really looks wonderful on that blue fabric with the white frame.

There is just something so adorable about bulldogs, isn't there. There wrinkles and sad looking face make them irresistable!

Hope you can shake the bug--not good to be sick this time of year when there is so much to do... Take care of yourself :)

Hope you're feeling better. I have to agree - that fabric is perfect for the design, and there should be a light on. Who wants to come home to a dark home? Great finishing!

What a lovely piece!! I love the bulldog ornament LOL. I hope you nip that cold in the bud. So many people seem to be battling really bad colds this year.
