I hung this on the wall a little after midnight Christmas Eve. I enjoyed every minute of this design. As I was stitching it I knew it was going to be too large for an ornament so it was either a pillow, frame, or wallhanging. As you can see I went with the wallhanging. :o) I used the sawtooth star pattern to mimic the star pattern on the sleigh and was able to find all of the fabrics I needed in my stash. A big thank you to Amy for the holly fabric that provided the perfect background for my Christmas star and another big thank you to Mary for gifting me with such a delightful pattern. Not one to leave well enough alone, I added some yo-yo's with jingle bells in the center to help carry out the snowflakes and jingle theme. I discovered my quiltmaking skills are very rusty, perhaps I will have to make a few more quilted finishes in the new year.
I hope you are all enjoying a beautiful day with family and friends. We are anxiously awaiting this "winter storm" that is predicted to give us a white Christmas.
