Lucky!

"Lucky"
Shepherd's Bush Kit
Ta Da!  My first official finish of 2011.  Perhaps 2011 will be a lucky year for me.  This was a kit Jolene sent me last year after I had admired it on her blog.  I really enjoy celebrating St. Patrick's Day and wanted to add another stitched piece to my decorations.  I finished this one as a ruffled pillow.  You just have to love the internet - I have never made a ruffle that I can recall in my life (I have boys) so with the help of google and a few websites I managed this one.  It looks pretty good as long as you don't inspect it too closely.  :o)  Thank you again Jolene for gifting me with this cute little kit.
Since this one was gifted to me I would like to pass along the chart to someone who would like to stitch it too.  There are enough of most of the silk flosses left over to complete it with the exception of the grey and maybe the light green - you might need to sub those with one from your stash just to be safe.  If you would like to put your name in the proverbial hat, just let me know in your comment.  I will draw a name next Saturday and maybe send some luck your way.

Have a great Sunday!

As usual, your finishing technique is just admirable! Please enter me in the drawing for your chart. Also, I stopped in a local quilt shop yesterday looking for your sampler fabric that you stitched all the gorgeous zippered pouches with. No luck, but I am not giving up!

I love it! Don't enter me because the potential win would be wasted on me. Just wanted to pop in and say HI!

HD!!!! You did a fabulous job Myra! I'd say you learn quite easily if you learned to do a ruffle just by the Internet ;o) Too complicated for me. LOL!
