Stoopid Blogger!

You have all been showing gorgeous creations this week.  I have been visiting your blogs and ooooing and ahhhhing and leaving lovely words of praise...make that TRYING to leave lovely words of praise.  Blogger asks me to sign in.  I do, but I am only recognized as anonymous and can't leave an anonymous comment either!   I sure hope they get this worked out soon.

I have been doing some stitching. Not on what I SHOULD be stitching (ahem, Shores) but I just have no willpower sometimes when it comes to new, fun, and beautiful designs.

Happy Owl-O-Ween
Barbara Ana Designs
32 ct Platinum Belfast/DMC floss

This was supposed to be stitched over 1 as a scissor fob but I don't do over 1 very well.  I am thinking this will end up as a little pillow.  I am a bit out of season but I couldn't resist all the fun colors and things in this design.  The cauldron with green slime, the spiders with their creepy red eyes, the cute owl with candy corn hatpins!  I just had to have this one.  Had to!

Then....this mystery sampler kept popping up on your blogs.  How could I resist when there is the word "Birds" in the title of the design?  I decided not to spend the $ on the WDW flosses, I only had 1 of them in my stash and am doing my own DMC conversion instead.  I have never converted a design this size to a different floss so I am hoping it turns out well.  I like what I have done so far.

During this Memorial Day weekend please take a moment to remember those who have served and sacrificed so much for our wonderful country.  I am enjoying this 3 day weekend and hope you are as well.  Lots of stitching and sewing and gardening and grilling and spending time with family.  Baby back ribs and turnip greens from the garden are on the menu today with watermelon for dessert.  :o)

I also bought the Birds Mystery Sampler. Would you share your DMC conversion with me? I would appreciate it as the floss recommended is pricey for me right now!

Although I do not have a blog (I just started blog reading), I do enjoy seeing your beautiful work and hearing about your adventures!

My email address is kmkelch@comcast.net.

I love your Happy Owl-O-Ween! It's so cute and so colourful.

Ooh it's nice to see someone stitching the mystery sampler in DMC. I don't have the WDW and can't afford to buy them. I did order the first chart but where I ordered it from had a minimum order of $20 so I resigned myself to the fact that I wasn't meant to have it but now I think I'll say to hell with it and get it!! Lol!

Oh Myra, I love this piece!! I can see why you HAD to do it. I love how the spiders are dangling from the bones LOL.

I had that issue with Blogger last week. It stopped when I went to my blog, clicked on Sign Out then went to my blog again and clicked Sign In. It's been working fine since then.

ROFLOL Love this owl finish! It is irresistable, isn't it?

A lovely start on the mystery sampler.

RE Blogger comment problems...if everyone will change their comment form to the pop-up type it would be fixed!

I have been having the same problem with blogger-only recognized me as anonymous even when signed in-what a pain! But I love the idea of using DMC for the Mystery sampler! And the Owl O Ween is cute for the holiday (no witches, bats, etc)
Now, I'm off to see if this will post :)

Love that Owl! He is so fun and quirky. Have you seen the Owl piece by "The Stitcherhood"? It would make a great companion piece to this one.

I picked up my Mystery kit yesterday and I bought the whoole kit and caboodle! Yep, $80.00 worth! I changed about four of the colors in it and I can't wait to get going on this one. I just know it will be fabulous!

Have a great one Myra!

Love the little owl piece, so cute! And I am looking forward to seeing what you're mystery sampler looks like... I'm too chicken to take on a mystery sampler just now.

Regarding your blogger problems. I have heard that clearing your cache and deleting your cookies might solve the problem. Or switching to a different web browser. Dunno. I am just glad I haven't had any problems yet!

Have a great holiday weekend.

That is the cutest Halloween design! You did a beautiful job with the stitching! I am going to have to add that design to my list of 'got to have' designs.

I have the Mystery sampler too but have not started it yet. Hopefully I can start on it next week.

Enjoy your weekend!

Love your Halloween design, it's so colorful!

I have the Mystery Sampler part 1 chart and fabric but stupid me forgot the threads. It will take me a while to get the threads from overseas and I want to start immediately.

Myra, can you share your DMC conversion with me? Would appreciate your help, thank you.

Great start on the mystery sampler! I am enjoying seeing everyone's start. I wish I could start mine but I am trying to be good and work on my wips.

I'm back!! And yours is the first blog I visited--I've missed so much over the past couple of week (sounds like it was a good time to be away with all those blogger troubles, though!)...

Your little Halloween piece is adorable, Myra--just love that little owl. And your mystery sample looks like such fun--I can already tell from the colors that it will be a beauty...

Hope you are enjoying your long weekend, Myra. I can only imagine the temperature down there since it is going to be 93 here today and tomorrow!! Stay cool, my friend :)
