Bird Brained!

Hello dear friends!  I have birds on the brain...and in my sewing room too.

I "jazzed" these up a bit with a safety pin on the wing and a little charm.

And...

I'll just bet...

you can guess...

what kind of bird is next!

Bwahahahaha!   I do wish my camera photographed red a little better as the wing really isn't the dayglo color this photo suggests.  It probably doesn't help that when I take my camera from the cool environment inside to the heat and humidity outside, the lens is immediately fogged over.  I have to wipe off the condensation and wait for the cool lens to acclimate before I can get a pic that isn't just a blur.  I just had to alter the pattern a little to make the little bird look more like my favorite.  :o)

I hope you are all enjoying a wonderful weekend and staying cool!

You've done it again Myra! It's hard to pick a favorite. I'm glad to see that your "signature" cardinal is in the flock :)

You know I love them! So cute - especially with your touch of the pin and charm!

Cute birds!! I was wondering if you were going to make a cardinal LOL. I could not live with the humidity you have down there. I hated our weeks of it, walking out of air conditioned building and having my glasses fog up LOL.

You're amazing Myra! Love them both, but the cardinal is awesome. Heck, I've just about mastered making a square pincushion and you're flying up there with the birds! Wonderful!

Just sooooo cute! I've downloaded the pattern, watched the tutorial and sorted some fabrics out so I just need to give my temperamental sewing machine a talk-to and I'm ready to go ~ hope my efforts match yours!!!
