Frightful!

With Halloween fast approaching and me still stitching (slowly) on Penny America, I decided to take a little time out to stitch and finish up a quickie for my Halloween tree.

"Frightful"
Design by It's Daffycat
DMC w/WDW Trick or Treat for the border
32 ct my dyed linen
This was my first attempt at ruching ribbon and I love how it looks on this design.  It is very time consuming but I feel it adds so much to the finish I will be doing it again.

I hope you are all having a great week!  Happy Hump Day!

Love purple and orange together - so Halloweeny! Your ruched ribbon looks amazing. I must admit I used to hate ruching ribbon, but now it's my favourite finish, despite taking hours and using miles and miles of ribbon :0).

Myra, that is absolutely too cute!! I don't remember seeing that one on Sharon's site, it's a must have now!
I have never tried ruching, but now you've got me wanting to. It certainly adds 'character' to the piece. Love how it turned out!!

Awesome finishing, Myra! I love the WDW border, that was the "look" I was designing for without having to ask people to purchase overdyes. Perfect substitue! Your ruched ribbon looks lovely and your dyed fabric matches my model so well. Thanks for stitching my design.

What a frightful delight!

Everyone who saw Faye's thread catcher at PALS just had a fit over it. Don't you want to open an etsy shop? I have to believe it would be a giant success!
