Ornamentizing

Last week I stitched up a few more ornaments and have spent today ornamentizing them.  :o)

"Snow Hop"
Daffycat Designs - freebie
32 ct White Opalescent Linen/DMC Floss

"Jolly"
 2011 JCS Christmas Ornament Issue
by Miss Crescent's Crowne
32 ct dirty linen/CC floss
Do you love the colors in this ornament?  I am so surprised that I do as I am a traditional red/green/gold kind of person when it comes to decorating for Christmas.  Something about these colors and this ornament just spoke to me and I had to make it.  Forget that it matches nothing in my Christmas decor - it is going on my tree this year!

I have tomorrow off work (whooo hooo!) and I plan to spend some time in the sewing room with this:

But don't expect to see pictures anytime soon - I'll be working on my Christmas RAK's.  :o)

Have a great week and thanks for visiting my little corner of blogland!

Ah, you stitched Sharon's pattern! Looks so cute :o)

I like the colors although they aren't the traditional colors that I decorate either.

Hi Myra - love the term "ornamentizing"- it sounds like fun! The non-traditional color ornament is very pretty. I wouldn't have thought of using those colors but I love the total package. Enjoy your day off!

I knew you would be one of the first to stitch Sharon's cardinal, Myra--and how cute it turned out! And Jolly is, well, very jolly--fun and cute...You're getting quite a collection for your tree this year.

Enjoy your day off--looking forward to seeing what you make from that Blueberry Crumb Cake :)

Fantastic finishes, Myra!! I love how you finished them off, too. I need to get busy ornamentalizing my ornaments, too. I hate that part so just keep stitching. ;) I can't wait to see what you whip up with that Blueberry Crumb Cake! The colors are scrumptious.

Have a great week!

Darling ornaments, Myra! Thanks for stitching my design and it's finished so nicely. I love the non-traditional ornament. It's fun to branch out but I'm like you, I usually go for green-red-gold or blue-white ones myself.

Blueberry Crumb Cake? Looks good enough to eat!

Myra, I too loved the Jolly ornie. I loved stitching it and it was the colors the drew me to it. I like how you finished it.
