Picking Up Penny

Here it is the 3rd day of my staycation and I have been doing a whole lot of nothing!  And loving it!  LOL

Monday I did manage to sew up a couple of Kindle Fire covers - one for my son and one for my sister in law.  My SIL just got hers and I must say I am now addicted to Draw Something.  Do any of you play this on your tablets?  I would love to have more drawing partners.  :o)

Yesterday, DH and I headed to Salisbury to pick up Penny America which I had left with the lovely Robin at Spring Robin to be framed.   I am just thrilled with my frame selection and Robin said having this in the shop sold 2 copies of the pattern.  :o)

And here she is in her place of pride on the wall.  ~~~Love It!~~~

Today I am planning on having a numb butt by the end of the day and maybe a little house cleaning will be done.  Then again...maybe not!

I just love the frame you picked out for 'Penny' and it looks wonderful on your wall!
Great job Myra!
Gonna have to add that graph to my list! I love penny rugs and have an Americana living room, so I know it would fit in.
Your kindle covers turned out great too!

WOW!! I just love the frame you chose for Penny America, Myra!! I think that is one of the prettiest finished and framed pieces I've ever seen :) If I ever, ever get around to framing my larger pieces, I need you by my side to help select the perfect one!

Enjoy the rest of your staycation--if your Kindle covers are any indication, there will be more creative things popping up by the end of the week :)

Love your framed piece. Beautiful finish!

Your Kindle covers are cool. Did you use a pattern or tutorial? Or did you just kind of make it up? I'm thinking of doing one something like that for my Nook since my first one came out a bit snug. And I like how you can read the screen without removing the cover on this type.

Perfect frame selection! If I didn't already have the pattern, i'd have bought it as well after seeing yours! I'm thinking tonight is a Halloween Rules night, I'm not feeling any love for the project I've been working on.

I just love your Penny America (and I'm Canadian!). The frame suits it perfectly.

I wish we had more patriotic designs to choose from in honour of our Canada Day...

That frame is stunning with your finish!! It compliments Penny so well.
I'm with Tracey. Being Canadian, I'm always frustrated that we don't have many Canadian patriotic designs. I've starting modifying some of the American ones to suit me.
