My New Year's Day Start

And finish!

"Glory House"
Chessie and Me
Linen and Silks as kitted

This tiny little over one bird nearly did me in!

And I framed it as well.  :o)

While I was in the framing mood I decided to finish up "Not all of us" as well.  I added a little rick rack and the homespun I auditioned:

I am not sure if I really like it. I think I will let it "age" for a day or two before I change anything. I left a large enough margin on the stitched portion so I can make it into something else if it doesn't "grow" on me as it is.

I would like to pass this pattern along if anyone is interested.  It would be the pattern only (there is also a pattern for a little pincushion included) no linen, buttons, or charm as I used those.  Just let me know in the comments if you would like to put your name in the hat and if there are several of you that want it, I will draw a name in a few days.

I have really enjoyed reading your blogs this week and seeing all of your new starts and stitching plans for 2013.  Which reminds me...I really should make myself a list of the things I want to finish this year.

Wishing you a week filled with lots of stitching time!

Great stitching and a very pretty frame!

I hear you on the over one. I decided to join to SL SAL and chose a miniature sampler to start off with. Well it is small but it's all stitched over one. Yikes!

Oh, is that CUTE, Myra!! And I love the way you framed it--I think I have one of those little birdhouse frames, too so I may just be copying your idea some day :)

Your fabric and ric rak look just wonderful with the colors in that design...I'd say your new year is off to a great start!

Oh I hear you on the over one Myra! I just finished stitching over one on 32ct, the whole ornament, with gigantic amounts of backstitching!!!
You finished both of those pieces off so well, I love them.
Please include my name in the draw. I would love to stitch it also. Thank you. =)

Happy new year to you & yours!

Lovely finaihes Myra. The 'N' in 'Not All of Us' would make a lovely small finish for somebody with the initial 'N'. unfortunatley I don't know anybody with that initial! Lol.

Perhaps I should proof read before pressing 'publish'??! Darn ipad!

I think the finish looks great! But if you are not happy you should change it, otherwise it will just niggle away at you.

I would love to be included in the drawing please :)

Myra,
Love the framing and stitching of course. You did a great job. I love them both. Although I would love to stitch that my stitching plate is just overflowing right now so I will pass on the drawing.

Have a great week.
