Our North Carolina weather has been crazy with a capital C. It was 60 degrees here and beautiful Friday. Almost like an early spring day. This is the view outside my door yesterday morning:
It snowed all day long. The temperature rose a bit so all of it melted but it sure made for a great day to stay inside and stitch. Today dawns bright and sunny but very windy and cold.
I managed to finish up this little beauty:

Now I hope you all know with your encouragement you may have created a monster. I don't know what the problem was before but now I absolutely love stitching on 40 count fabric. Of course I discover this just when I have built up a little stash of 28 and 32 count fabrics. :o)
I hope you all have a relaxing and enjoyable Sunday. I can't believe the season finale of Downton Abbey is tonight. Whatever will we find to amuse ourselves until it returns?

Love your stitching I do like your blue, I love to stitch on 40 ct do you stitch with one thread like I do.
I just loved Downton Abbey , we also had a christmas one have you seen that one yet, hugs.
Nice job with the blue substitute.... And the snow was crazzzeeeee! Especially since I got some here at Cherry Grove Beach! Only a good dusting thank goodness... Email me for some 40 ct if you'd like.... I've got some I'll share if you're in need...
Like the colors and the fabric you used for your With Thy Needle piece!
Absolutely love your color substitution!
I have seen the last episode of DA and all I'm gonna say is WOW!
Your conversion is so pretty, Myra. Congratulation for the converting to 40 count, too!!!
Linda
Your little piece is so pretty. Spring or late winter, so unpredictable!!I have 2 daffodils blooming and snow is predicted for Wed. night!
Hi Myra -- gorgeous stitching as always. I was wondering if you got snow...we didn't (thank goodness). Now...what is next weekend going to be like? I hope it's a little warmer. Looking forward to Downton tonight...can't believe this Season 3 is/was so short:( Hope to see you soon!!
Gorgeous, love the changes of colors!
Hugs,
Very pretty finish. Our weather has been crazy here too.
I love the color change! Amazing how different a design can look with just one change. So jealous... no snow here! Stay warm....
I think the blue is really pretty, and so different! We got some slush/ sleet early Saturday, then around 5:00 the snow started and we probably got 2-3 inches. It's mostly all gone now. Have you thought about using your 28ct for over one?
Your choice of blue is so springlike, Myra...and it's lovely.
You go girl with the 40 ct!
It's sooo cold here today and the wind is howling. Even Rosie (my St. Bernard) doesn't want to be out for long
Oh, what a shocker with Downton Abbey! Why do these shows end so early in the season? It's not like the "old days" when shows aired until the early summer...Ugh, I guess I'm getting old when I reminisce (haha)
so sweet x
Congratulations on the finish!! It looks great. Love it with the blue. Isn't 40 ct great?? I love that you don't need to use two strands of floss. It's definitely more economical!
What a lovely finish Myra! I have yet to be converted to 40ct but I think I'm probably too hesitant to give it a go and I just need to give myself a talking too and get on with it! Your weather is how our weather can be, lovely one day and a complete change of season the next!!!
Beautiful project Myra! I have also found that I prefer the 40 ct. Hopefully I can bring myself to stitch again one of these days : )
your stitching is lovely! I love the blues :) I hope you enjoyed Downton, when do you guys get to see what is our Christmas day special??
I adore your new pillow you made. The blue is so pretty on that tundra fabric! Downton Abbey is the best show!!
Great fabric and thread choices Myra. Your pillow finish is beautiful! Hugs.
What a pretty finish! I love the pop of the Blue Jay floss. 40 count is pretty addictive and makes such tiny smalls. Love it! Hope the weather warmed up a little!
Oh, how pretty, Myra!! I just got this chart in the mail and I love how you converted the reds to the blues--just perfect... May be copying that idea if it's okay with you!!
Sure hope your spring arrives quickly. We got more snow last night, but have been lucky this winter with no giant storms like others have faced!
What a lovely sweet pillow. Love the colours. I think we must of had that sunny spring-like day here in the UK yesterday. Today it's just cloudy and too cold!
Adorable pillow! I love your color choices. It's wonderful.
Oh Myra!! Love your finish and color changes. I am so glad you tried and like the 40 count!
Very pretty, I like your colour changes
I love the pinkeep in those colours! It's a lovely finish for spring, that's if spring ever comes. We are in the midst of another winter storm here this morning.... a mix of snow and freezing rain.
Congrats on your switch to 40 count! I haven't taken the big plunge yet. I'm just getting comfortable on 36 ct.
Hi Myra,
Plese forgive me for being absent from your blog but here I am! :)
Wow, love all your Valentine Beauties and this one too. I am a fan of your stitching. It is so neat and perfect.
I just uploaded some Gypsy Fortune Tags to my blog if you would like to see them and leave a comment.
Hugs
very beautiful pictures ! bisous bisous
I love your pinkeep in those colors. WOW! You did a beautiful job. It looks fantastic. I have this chart and now I want to order the Blue Jay colored thread:) Hope some of your snow has melted away.
love Annette
I, too, like your blue substitution.
Most of my friends and I love stitching on 40 count when we can. If you have a lot of 28 count, try stitching over one thread for basic little things like your finish here. Sometimes teeny, tiny is just so sweet!
