Catching up to do

Hello Friends!  I had intended to post this last weekend but just couldn't find enough hours in my days.

Chris and I met last Sunday for breakfast.  I had some finishing to give back to her and we needed to catch up a bit.  We did a lot of eating and talking.  We always have a fun time and I am so fortunate to have such a like minded friend living close by.  Chris recently returned from the Nashville market and I enjoyed hearing all about her adventure and she brought me a few gifties.

I couldn't wait to get started on Liberty Inn and I almost have the house built.  :o)  I haven't had much stitching time this week as work kept calling my name.  I am hoping to spend a quiet Easter Sunday stitching and maybe doing a little sewing.

A Whole Lotta...

 ...stitching going on!

Hi friends!  Happy St. Patrick's Day!   I have my corned beef in the crock pot and plan to do some finishing today.

I have been doing a bit of stitching:

PS Book #13- A Prairie Year
40 ct mystery linen
DMC and Victorian Motto Floss
As you can see, I am still loving the 40 count fabric. This was a little piece gifted to me by a friend (thanks friend!).  I substituted the brown for the bunny with Victorian Motto Drab Brown and really like the mottled look of it.

I actually started stitching this next piece in January and worked on it in between stitching smalls.  My original plan was to frame this one but I am thinking a pillow in a coordinating fabric would look nicer.

"Joyeux Noel"
Gazette 94 freebie
32 count Belfast /DMC floss
I thought these fellows would look good on a dark green background but I didn't have any dark green linen.  So...I pulled out the old rit dye and went to it.  I was quite pleased with the result.  Don't you just love Santa's striped socks and that little robin perched on his head?  :o)
Thank you for stopping by today!  I appreciate each and every one of you.
Perhaps you will follow Glitter's lead and have a wonderful, relaxing Sunday!

Sunday, March 3, 2013

Hello friends and folk!  I hope you are all enjoying a restful Sunday.

I have been perusing the new releases coming from the Nashville market.  Have you seen anything you just love?  I am loving the new Liberty kit from Chessie and me.  Oh, and Catherine sent me a pic of the new Rosewood Manor Winter Quaker - chock full of cardinals.  I do love it but I don't know about those Valdani threads.  Will file that one away for now.  :o)  And I do like Paulette's latest companions for Sergei - Viktor and Irina.  Speaking of which...

Plum Street Samplers
36 ct Tree of Life Cocoa Double Dip Linen
Floss mostly as charted with a few DMC substitutes
I suppose Olga will be next on my list.  I plan to have Boris framed just as I did Sergei so I can hang them together.  Who knows?  Maybe I'll end up doing the entire series eventually as they are lots of fun to stitch.

I am heading for my happy chair this afternoon with a springy Prairie Schooler design.  Chuck roast and veggies in the crock pot - I think I'll stitch until it's time to eat!

Wishing you all a wonderful week ahead!
