January!

How in the world is it the end of January already?  I have been trying to get a post together for this month since the 1st!  So much for that, right?  I just can't make myself sit down and spend much time on the computer lately.

Not a lot has happened around here since I last posted.  We did take a day trip to the beach in December.

Betty really enjoyed the water.  She was so funny...she kept trying to bite the waves and couldn't understand why they kept going away from her.

I did manage to do a little Christmas sewing.  I made several of these little birds and finished them as ornaments for gifts.

I also made a few of these bells.

Most recently I finished this sofa size quilt for an auction for a local Boxer rescue group.  I am hoping it raises lots of money for the rescue.  There is a Boxer face quilted in one of the corner squares and paw prints in the others.

That just about catches me up for now.  I plan to post at least one update a month to try to ease myself back into blogging after having been gone so long.

I also plan to get back to visiting your blogs...I miss you guys!  I do visit when I have a spare moment or two but haven't been very good at leaving comments. Shame on me.

I'll be back soon to show you my latest stitching.  I haven't been able to stitch as much because of my elbow but I did start something new.  :o)  Just when I think it has healed it flares up again and I have to stop using it until the pain subsides.

I hope you all had a great start to 2015!  Thank you for continuing to visit even thought I have been absent for a while.  I really appreciate your comments and encouragement.

Dogs are so funny to watch at the beach!! LOL. You've done some lovely work lately. And I couldn't agree more - how can January already be over?

So sorry to hear that your elbow is acting up again and getting in the way of your stitching. Hopefully it will be over rather soon.

You have finished a very lovely quilt. And these little birdies are just so sweet. These bells will make wonderful Christmas gifts. I wish I'd be that early too. Sigh.

YAY!!! You're back :) We all missed you so much, Myra! I am thrilled to see what you've been up to and just treasure the little bird you made for me at Christmas time... I'm sure that the dog quilt will bring a nice price at the fundraiser--it is just darling :)

How nice that you and Betty got to get away to the beach for a day--it looks so beautiful there with that bright blue sky! She sure is a pretty pup--and so "in shape"--just look at those muscles :)

I really hope the elbow pain disappears for good very soon, Myra!

So wonderful to see a post from you! Such fun to hear how Betty enjoyed her visit to the beach : ) Those birds are wonderful! Mine will have a treasured spot on my tree until Jesus comes to get me ... & then He will probably tell me to bring my bird from Myra along with me : ) Those bells are really pretty too & that boxer quilt is too cool : ) Do take care of that elbow! I continue to keep you in my prayers.

Betty is charming, as well as your stitches, Myra. I guess she likes the water and the beach. My Lilac has a strong fear of water. I can't take him to any lake or a water place.
Hugs,
Lucia
